Close-up on Ian

Ian is now 2 1/2 months. He has fun on his play mat and interacting with those around him, talking and cooing.

He also enjoys putting his hand and fingers in his mouth. His dad has a big mouth, perhaps Ian got this from him.

Whenever Ian is hungry or needs a diaper change, he never cries, he just gives mommy this look. Ya right!

Happy 1st Mother's Day!

This year will bring many exciting first. Yesterday, we celebrated Kelli and her first Mother's Day, along with both our moms. It was fun spending time with family and sharing what makes these moms so special.

Ian hits the road

Wow, what a week. We took Ian on his first road trip. First Indianapolis and then the Chicago area.

Saturday, we took in a beautiful wedding, for Kelli's cousin, while in Indianapolis. It was a great time with family.

We spent a couple days in the Chicago area. During the day, Kelli and Ian were able to see friends from church and school, while Matthew was traveling the area for work. Kelli didn't have time to see everyone she wanted to, but they really enjoyed the opportunities they did have.

Sunday, Ian made a new friend, Lauren, at our first stop in Illinois to visit friends from college. They have a two year old and expecting another in October.

Ian's first trip to a restaurant. First of many he would end up making within a week.

Tuesday, Ian hung out with Norah and Simon. Their parents are friends we made at church. They had a girl only a couple weeks after we had Ian.

Simon shares his baseball and glove. Daddy is already looking forward to taking Ian to his first Cubs game.
