Twin Cities Trip: Day 5

On our final day here we traveled to Mayer, MN. We enjoyed worship in the morning at Zion Lutheran Church. Following that we visited at the home of our friends from college, Emily and Adam. Adam has been a pastor here for just over a year and they seem to love it. What made the visit extra exciting was getting to see their new born son, Christopher. He is only three weeks old and it's hard to imagine that Ian was once this small. How fast they grow!

We had such a great time in Minnesota! Thanks to everyone that made our trip so special!

Twin Cities Trip: Day 4

Today we found our way to Mark and Sheryl's. They are good friends that we made while living in Illinois. They have a beautiful home and such adorable children.

Here, Kelli and Ian are having fun with Sean.

Maddy did so well playing with Ian. You can tell she makes a great big sister.

Later in the day we ventured into the wild, at Como Zoo and Conservatory in St. Paul.

We finished out the day going to dinner with very close friends of Matthew's parents, Roger and Debbie. It had been a long time since Matthew had seen them, so it was great getting together.

Twin Cities Trip: Day 3

Day 3 we voyaged outside at Minnehaha Falls.

In the evening we had dinner at Kelli's cousin's, Nick and his wife Brooke. They have a super nice house. It was nice visiting and catching up on their new married life.

Twin Cities Trip: Day 2

Day 2 we took in some Twin City hot spots. We spent part of the day at Mall of America.

Here are Ian and Matthew in front of Lego Land at the mall.

That evening we had dinner at the Spaghetti Factory and then the Minnesota Twins baseball game at the Metrodome. It was an exciting game that included a comeback in the late innings by the Twins and finally a Twins victory and series sweep in the 10th inning.

Twin Cities Trip: Day 1

Today we left on a trip to visit family and friends in and around the Twins Cities over a five day period.

This was Ian's first time on an airplane. He came down with a cold just yesterday. As a result, he slept very little last night. We were concerned he wouldn't be up for the adventure. Actually, it turned out very well.

We visited the campus of Concordia Universtiy in St. Paul. Matthew enjoyed getting to see a couple friends who work there. After that, we went walking around a local park.

In the evening we got together with Kelli's friends from college, Mellisa, and her husband Mark. They have a Boxer, a massive dog named Titus. Needless to say, Ian and Titus got along great.

Oh, and here are Melissa and Mark. She's pregnant.
