Birthday Celebration 2

Ian had his second birthday party with Kelli's family yesterday. It was a small affair, but we had a yummy dinner and then chocolate rice krispie footballs for dessert. Thanks to our wonderful family who made his days special!

Smiling widely as we sing "Happy Birthday!"

In shock that he actually blew out both candles this time - YEAH!

Birthday Celebration 1

We celebrated Ian's birthday last night with Matthew's family since Matthew will be gone on his actual birthday at a conference.

Ian was able to blow out one of his candles, but couldn't get enough air for the other one.

Snow Play

Ian finally enjoyed the snow outside by playing with Mommy and Daddy on separate occasions. Now he wants to go out a lot, but sometimes it is just TOO cold!

Here he is sitting on his favorite tree stump in-between our property and Kelli's parents'.

Kansas Trip

Even though we didn't escape the snow, we still had a wonderful visit with Kelli's brother, Mark in Kansas.

We spent an afternoon and evening with Kelli's aunt and uncle and their three kids. Everyone played their instruments, including Ian on the drums.

Finally....some fun in the snow! Ian hasn't been a fan of playing in the snow, but he sure had a great time with Uncle Mark and Mommy building a snowman and throwing snowballs.

2 birthday tries for Mark - the first cake had no candles so we used a fork. The next day we got real candles - isn't his smile brighter?!

After all of that fun, you have to have some down time. Ian and Uncle Mark are cuddling on the couch one morning.
