Fall Festival

South Whitley had their fall festival so Ian, Matthew, and Reagan went on Saturday to hang out with Uncle James, Aunt Nancy, Grandpa Leighty, and cousin Hannah.

They had lots of kids' rides to choose from, but this ride was Ian's favorite. We finally got him to ride this motorcycle instead of the red car he had ridden the previous 3 or 4 times.
Waving hello as he cruises by in his favorite red car
The view is better from Daddy's shouldersThe street was also lined with antique cars - this one was out in front of cousin Hannah's house.

CHICAGO!

Over Labor Day weekend, we headed up to Chicago so Matthew could do a little work and we could visit with friends along the way.

Our first stop was the Nemeths house where Ian played with Ellie and rode in their boat, we got to meet little Kailynn, and the parents played a competitive game of Kazink! once the kiddos were in bed.
Our next visit was with Mrs. Zielke from Immanuel. We joined her for cross country practice, but unfortunately didn't grab a picture of the event.

Then we headed out to Harvard to the Gottschalks where Ian enjoyed playing with Henry's toys in a different way than Henry.:-)
Playing a duet on the piano
Trying out the stomp rockets
All ready for bed in their cute PJs
The Luedtkes were our stop in Villa Park where Ian was so glad to get out of the hotel room and play outside with some friends and check out all of their cool toys.
All four on the couch for some cuddle time
We went to church at Pastor Schilf's church in Palatine and enjoyed a great pizza dinner with him and his family. We miss you all!
Our last visit was with the Corneliusens for breakfast in Elmhurst and then off to a park so Ian could run around before sitting in the car for three hours. What a gorgeous day to be outside!
Monkey
What a cute family!:-)
