CURF Reunion

Some of Kelli's college friends met up in Hoffman Estates for 24 hours to hang out with their kiddos and catch up on life. 7 kids and 6 mommies are a handful, but everyone did great and had a wonderful time.
Ian and Lauren were buddies during our stay. They went on walks, played ball, did play dough, and just did a great job entertaining each other.

Our 7th Anniversary

We had our first night away from Ian to celebrate our 7th anniversary. The getaway included a lovely dinner at Olive Garden, watching The Proposal and eating movie poporn, and hiking with a picnic at Pokagon State Park.

Fourth of July

We had a relaxing Fourth of July washing windows, attending a wonderful patriotic church service, hanging out with friends for lunch and dinner, and watching all the different firework displays from our front porch while Ian slept soundly in his bed.

Happy 6th Birthday, Hannah!

Our niece celebrated her 6th birthday today. Probably the coldest birthday she's had.

Cookout and a Tincaps Game

Last Saturday night, we had our small group from church over for a cookout, and then we headed to a Tincaps baseball game. A new stadium was just built downtown, and they changed the mascot from the Wizards to the Tincaps. We have Johnny Appleseed to thank for that inspiration. We had a wonderful time hanging out and watching the Tincaps win against their rival the South Bend Silverhawks.
